Hala ka Nicole!

I got a new yellow labrador retriever puppy from my boss last Saturday and we decided to name her Nicole, a tribute to her brother Nickee. It was nice coz I got to spend the whole weekend with her while she's adjusting to a new environment. Before she's a farm girl but now she's a home girl living in a buzzling city.

I was worried how to leave her during the weekdays coz I am usually out of the house 7am and back 7pm from work. I was lucky that my housemate Judee got to take care of her last Monday since they didn't have work for the national holiday. GMA declared June 11 as Indedepence Day so people can have long weekend but unfortunately for us working in a US based company, we won't feel like Filipinos on our own National Holidays.

Tuesday. I was too anxious what to expect when I got home from work. I just left Nicole enough dog food for lunch. Her drinking water is self-refilling (up to 2.5 liters) so I don't worry about her getting thirsty. I secure her in a leash to prevent undesirable sight when I got home. I even wish she knew how to use a cellphone so I just can leave her a cellphone to call if she's not okay. My officemates laughed about it when I shared the thought.

HALA KA NICOLE!!!! I shouted the moment I opened the door. I saw garbage everywhere. Plastic and papers that looked like being shredded by a machine. I didn't think of putting the trash bin far from her so she won't be able to reach it. When I approached her I saw water all over the place. I felt relieved when I didn't see undesirable piles of her waste around her but the whole house was flooding. I cleaned up the place so I can feed her but the moment I refilled her water, this was the scene!!!!

We even decided to put a large basin with just little water so water won't splash everywhere and it was so funny. Take a look!!

Tomorrow is another day. I don't know what to expect. We'll see...
